About Me
My name is Josefa Lopez, I am a School Social Worker at Troy Cronin Elementary School.
I earned my Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of St. Francis. I then received my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I went on to receive a second Master's in Educational Leadership from Benedictine University. I have worked for Troy School District for 14 years. I am a member of the Illinois Association of School Social Workers and also serve as a member of the Social Work Advisory Board at the University of St. Francis.
At Troy Cronin, I serve both general and special education students in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. I facilitate individual and small group lessons with students. I also provide services for 504 case management, homeless families, positive behavioral supports, and resources within the community. I am pleased to collaborate with students, staff, families, and the community to enhance student academic and social/emotional growth.
