Second Step classroom lessons will begin in September. In order to support growth in social emotional learning areas, students will receive Second Step lessons once a month this school year. Second Step is an evidence-based, social skills curriculum that covers areas such as empathy, anger management, impulse control, problem solving and decision making, as well as getting along with others and dealing with changes. Each class will receive 10- 12 classroom lessons over the course of the school year covering these and other related topics in varying detail. Lessons are provided by the classroom teachers.
